The First Week of April

A quick look at the weather journal reveals that there has been snow, accumulations of snow, snow on the ground, sometime in the first week of April every year from 2000 (when this particular record begins) to the present. This morning, 7 centimetres of clean white wet snow!

Pretty really

The scilla will survive it.

By the end of the day it was all gone.

From your's and other northern hemisphere blogs, I get the picture that there's a real battle between winter and spring at the moment - my bet is that spring will win this round! Lovely photos.

Thanks chiefbiscuit. And yes, winter and spring do battle back and forth this time of the year--but sometimes summer sneaks up from behind to victory without us ever having a real spring!

Looks a lot like our week here except the only blossoms out are a few brave crocus
